Funded Ph.D. program in ancient philosophy - Munich

The Munich School of Ancient Philosophy (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, München) welcomes applications for funded doctoral study in ancient philosophy (including the medieveal reception in Latin and Arabic as well as textual criticism). Fellowships cover three years of dissertation and applicants should have completed an MA or equivalent before enrolling. Advanced instruction and other aspects of academic life take place almost exclusively in English.

看到里唯呼籲大家回家投票的影片。其實柏拉圖說的是：如果你不願參與統治，最大的損失（也可以翻譯為處罰）就是會被更差的人統治。

τῆς δὲ ζημίας μεγίστη τὸ ὑπὸ πονηροτέρου ἄρχεσθαι, ἐὰν μὴ αὐτὸς ἐθέλῃ ἄρχειν. (Republic Book 1, 347c)

什麼是「統治」（ἄρχειν）？依照前後文脈絡來看是「投身公職」。若擴張解釋成「投票」，還可以勉強說是廣義的統治。但翻譯為「關心政治」（在里唯的影片裡），就有點太鬆了。
